Dear Eastside Parents, Players & Volunteers:

Let me start by expressing my thanks to all of you for your efforts in making the 2013 season successful. We again exceeded 300 kids playing baseball and softball in 2013, and we remain the premier youth sports league in the City of Rochester because of the dedication and hard work of our parents, coaches and volunteers. As an all volunteer organization, your contributions are essential to the continued success of Eastside. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

There are some administrative issues that you need to be aware of as follows:

·Early registration is essential. Each year we struggle to put the teams together and draft for parity because of late registrations. We will be offering early registration on-line starting November 1, 2013 for 2014. Early registration will ensure your child has a place on a team at 2013 prices. Early registration also will earn a chance at a drawing for 3 prize packages valued at over $50 that include discounts at our sponsor merchants and Eastside gear. Anyone registering prior to December 31, 2013 will be eligible for the drawings. Winners will be posted on the league website (along with other important league information) at: www.eastside-littleleague.com

·Our affiliation with Little League Baseball, Incorporated requires the league be managed by a Board of Directors. An Annual Meeting to select the Board of Directors for the upcoming year must be held before the end of the league’s fiscal year (September 30 for Eastside Little League). At the Annual Meeting, the league president will present a State of the League report, and a new Board of Directors will be selected by the eligible voters of the league. (Eligible voters are any Volunteer, Coach or current Board member.) Any participant in the league may be a candidate for the Board of Directors, but must make that candidacy known at least one (1) week prior to the Annual Meeting. A list of eligible voters will be posted on the league website in advance of the Annual Meeting, along with the current Board members.
