Saturday, April 27: Tryon Park Clean-Up Day from 9:00 to noon . Winter is tough on the facilities, and much needs to be done to get the fields and grounds ready. We ask parents, coaches, and Board members to come to the park and pitch in to give our kids the facilities they deserve. The attached Task List outlines what we hope to accomplish. We have some equipment on hand, but leaf rakes are always helpful to bring along!

Saturday, May 4: Opening Day. We kick off the season with games for everyone! There will be a Parade at 11:30 starting from Farmington Park (across from School #52) proceeding down Farmington Road to Tryon Park. The Parade includes police escort, a fire truck escort, and a marching band. Welcoming ceremonies will be at 12:30 on the Green Softball Field for honored guests, first pitches, and the Little League Pledge for the players. Play Ball!
Sunday, May 19: Pitch, Hit & Run Competition: Sign up at the MLB site https://www.mlb.com/pitch-hit-and-run, under “Participate”. (We are hosting at Tryon Park, but we are awaiting confirmation from MLB for our event. Registration will be available soon.)
Saturday, June 1: Eastside Night at the Red Wings Game at Innovation Field. Discounted tickets for Eastside families will be available at the Concessions Stand.
Sunday, June 2, 1:00 pm start: T-Mobile Home Run Derby. Pre-registration not required, but get t o Tryon a half hour early to register the day of the competition.
Saturday, June 8: Hot Dog Day for C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association. In 2015 Eastside suffered the tragic loss of Tee Ball player Amanda Conrow to childhood cancer and the league has done a C.U.R.E. fundraiser every year since. All proceeds from the sale of hot dogs for the day are donated to C.U.R.E. Enjoy a tasty ball park dog while supporting a great cause!
Saturday, June 15: Team and Player photo day. Schedule for teams TBD, additional information coming.
Saturday, June 29: Closing Day. Championship games for Minors and Majors baseball, Dunk Tank for team coaches, games for the kids and our annual Movie on the Mound at dusk! All games will be scheduled in the afternoon and concessions will be open until the start of the movie (movie TBD, but it will be kid friendly!).
